1. Scope and operator
This policy describes ShareMyGPU, operated by FiveToClose in the United States. It covers data collected through this website. A GPU owner may separately process data you place on their machine; their practices are outside our direct control. Google processes sign-in data under its own privacy notice. Stripe separately processes payment and connected account data under its own privacy notice. Our email delivery provider processes addresses and verification messages to deliver mail.
2. Information we collect
When you sign in, we receive your Google account identifier and verified email address. We send a separate email confirmation link and store a hashed verification token and an expiring session token. From owners, we collect the email address, GPU model, VRAM, location, description, hourly price, access instructions, and the Stripe connected account identifier. We link each owner listing to the owner’s verified Google account. From rentals, we store the selected GPU, duration, price, platform fee, Stripe checkout session identifier, and rental timing and status. Our web server may log IP addresses, browser information, requests, and error events needed to operate and secure the site. Stripe collects payment details; our application does not store full card numbers.
3. Why we use it
We use listing data to show available GPUs, create checkouts, deliver owner-supplied connection details after confirmed payment, manage bookings, calculate the 25% fee, investigate problems, prevent abuse, keep records, and respond to requests. We use technical logs to troubleshoot and protect the service. We do not operate behavioral advertising or sell personal information through this site.
4. How information is shared
Public listings show the title, GPU model, VRAM, general location, description, price, and availability; they do not show owner email or connection details. After Stripe confirms a rental, the renter's private success page displays the owner's connection instructions and owner email so the renter can connect and request help. We share the payment and payout information needed by Stripe. Hosting and infrastructure providers process data to run the service. We may disclose information to comply with law, protect users, or resolve fraud or disputes.
5. Security and retention
Connection instructions are encrypted in our database, and payment is verified before they are displayed. No online system can guarantee perfect security. Owners should use a dedicated renter account and rotate credentials after each booking. We keep listing, rental, and technical records as long as reasonably needed for operation, disputes, security, legal obligations, and backups, then delete or de-identify them where feasible. A listing owner may ask us to remove a listing; completed transaction records may need to be retained.
6. Cookies and external services
The current site does not use an advertising cookie or analytics tracker. Stripe Checkout and Stripe Connect are separate services and may use cookies or similar technologies when you visit their pages. Links to other sites, including GPU setup documentation, are governed by those sites' own policies.
7. Your choices and rights
Owners can update the price, access instructions, and pause state from their signed-in owner dashboard. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal data, or object to certain processing, using the contact address below. We will respond according to applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some data may be retained for legal, financial, or security reasons. If you are outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States.
8. Children and updates
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We may update this policy and will publish the effective date of the revised version. Material changes will be explained on the site where practical.
